Eric Swalwell’s wife spotted in DC after weeks out of sight

The wife of disgraced ex-Rep. Eric Swalwell was spotted flying solo outside their $1.2 million Washington, D.C. home as the under-fire former congressman has stayed in hiding for more than a month.

The sighting comes as Swalwell — who abandoned his bid for California governor before resigning from Congress over a series of sexual misconduct allegations — hasn’t been seen since he responded to the initial claims on April 10.

Two days later, he suspended his bid for governor before calls for him to resign from congress led him to resign on April 14. He has reputedly denied the allegations against him, include accusations of rape and making sexually charged overtures at staff.

Swalwell hasn’t shown his face since posting a video on April 10 denying the initial allegations.

Subsequent public statements have come from his lawyers, including one attorney he paid using campaign funds to fight the claims.

He was reportedly still using Snapchat — the social media app through which he’s accused of sending explicit photos — to message former staffers as recently as two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, his wife has stayed mum on fiasco.

On Monday, she was seen crossing the street outside the couple’s D.C. home wearing sunglasses and a hat, as well chatting with a few unidentified people in a car.

Late last month, she was spotted at Mexico Los Cabos International Airport with her three children after enjoying a week-long luxury escape at a resort dubbed “a billionaire’s playground.”

Meanwhile, her husband’s whereabouts remain unclear as he didn’t appear in either Mexico or D.C. with his wife.

U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Arizona) previously told reporters that his wife attempted to reach Brittany Swalwell after the political blow-up. Someone close to her relayed that she was “devastated,” he said.

One former staffer alleged Swalwell raped her in a hotel in New York City in 2024, sparking an investigation from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. He was also accused of rape by a Southern California model. He allegedly committed lewd sexual acts such as sending nudes, harassment and turning up outside one woman’s home.

There have been no publicly reported updates to the federal, New York and California investigations into Swalwell, though some alleged victims have spoken to prosecutors.
