Emmerdale fans are convinced Samson Dingle will be killed by a Dales resident. It was recently reported that Sam Hall had been axed from the soap following 15 years playing Samson.
The 20-year-old is believed to be devastated over the news, with bosses revealing the character is set to be killed off. This has led fans to speculate what could lead to Samson’s death.
After reading part of the preview for an upcoming episode, viewers have theorised that Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) could play a huge role in Samson’s exit.
The synopsis reads: “Charity beams with pride at Sarah’s newfound independence, but Mack squirms when Sarah hints at permanently replacing him at the garage.”
Sharing their theory, one wrote: “Is it possible that Mack is going to try to sabotage Sarah and end up killing Samson? #emmerdale.” Another responded: “This actually feels realistic.”
A third agreed: “Yes I think it’s possible” as a fourth echoed: “It would definitely track for Mack to try and discredit Sarah’s work for sure.” Sam has played the role of Samson since the age of 5 and has understandably grown close to his co-stars, who were reportedly furious over the decision to axe him.
A TV source told The Sun: “He has been left devastated. He’s grown up with his on-screen Dingle clan and they are all very protective of him. Some of the cast even went to talk to bosses about their decision.
“As news of his axing swept through the building there were quite a lot of angry Dingles. The fact that they are planning on killing him off means there’ll be no way back for him either. He’s absolutely gutted.”
Long-running fans of the soap were equally enraged by the decision as they took to social media to air their frustrations.

Another commented: “First Liv, then Heath & now Samson. What is it with #Emmerdale producers brutally killing off all the youngsters while the likes or Rodney, Eric & worse of all Mackenzie are still alive & well unfortunately…”
