Emma Raducanu stormed past Ena Shibahara to earn her first match win at the US Open since she lifted the trophy here in 2021. There was virtually no slowing the Brit down as she sealed victory in just an hour and two minutes. But she was made to wait when a cameraman stacked it on the court.
The world No. 36 was serving early in the match, but had to delay her service game after he took a tumble over one of the advertising boards at the side of the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Other camera operators rushed to help the cameraman get back into position once the changeover ended.
“Stacked it,” Laura Robson joked on Sky Sports commentary. “They’ve got to hustle fast to that photography position.”
Jonathan Overend replied: “Don’t try anything too ambitious, I think might be the moral of that story, he tried to take a shortcut, didn’t go well for him.”
