Chaos engulfed the streets close to Buckingham Palace after an explosion was heard by members of the public.
People shared their concern online and it appeared that on Saturday afternoon an e-bike “exploded”.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one concerned social media user wrote: “An e-bike just exploded outside Buckingham Palace”.
