Electric Light Orchestra’s (ELO) legendary keyboardist Richard Tandy has sadly passed away at the age of 76. Jeff Lynne, the band’s frontman, expressed his profound grief over losing a ‘dear friend’ and long-time collaborator.

Taking to Facebook on Wednesday (May 1), Lynne penned an emotional tribute saying, “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my long-time collaborator and dear friend Richard Tandy.”

He continued, “He was a remarkable musician and friend and I’ll cherish the lifetime of memories we had together. Sending all my love to Sheila and the Tandy Family.”
