Eagle-eyed royal fans spot key Meghan Markle detail missing from swanky new Sussex website

Last night, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quietly launched their brand new website Sussex.com, which refers to the couple by their official royal titles, but on Meghan Markle’s profile page – a key detail is missing.

There is no mention of the word ‘actor’ on Meghan’s page, and instead her career on the screen is referred to as working in the “entertainment industry” 0 with details of her acting work condensed to one line.

The line reads: “After graduation, Meghan turned her focus to the entertainment industry, later securing a lead role on the hit series, ‘Suits’ which she starred in for seven seasons.”

In the eleven-page biography, Meghan’s current work as a “feminist” and a “champion of human rights” is at the forefront of her, with her work as an actor visibly reduced.

As well as primarily focusing on Meghan’s advocacy work and education, her publishing and editorial work is also mentioned.

Her fashion blog The Tig, work with British Vogue, and the creation of the children’s book ‘The Bench’ are all detailed in the biography.

Harry and Meghan’s previous site, Archwell, now automatically redirects to “Sussex.com” which consistently refers to the couple by their official royal titles.

A picture taken from the Invictus Games in the Netherlands dominates the page, and is overlaid with the text: “The Office of Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex”.

The royal coat of arms also features on each page, and the website features details about their work with the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organisations they support individually and as a couple.

When the couple stepped down as senior royals in January 2020, they kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, but are no longer addressed as His or Her Royal Highness (HRH).

In the closing paragraph about hopes for the future, details of acting are also omitted.

Meghan’s biography states: “The Duchess hopes to be a cultural catalyst for positive change, reflecting her core belief that representation matters, and that communities can be enhanced through learning, healing, and inspirational support.”

The launch of the website comes ahead of the couple’s trip to Canada for the Invictus Games – the launch event will stretch over three days from February 14 to 16.

The Vancouver Whistler Games will mark the first winter sports event in Invictus Games history. The Duke of Sussex, a former captain in the British Army, founded the international sporting competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans in 2014. There have been six events since, in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, the Hague and Dusseldorf.

Meghan hinted last year that they would bring their kids to the games in Canada this year, as they would be old enough to appreciate the sporting event.
