Eagle-eyed fans spot members of the Royal Family wearing matching item on Christmas

Multiple members of the Royal Family were seen wearing identical scarves during the royal procession in Sandringham on Christmas morning.

Princess Anne, her husband Sir Timothy Laurence, Lady Louise Windsor, the Earl of Snowdon David Armstrong-Jones and Samuel Chatto – Princess Margaret’s grandson – were all wearing the seasonal item of clothing. The expensive accessories are believed to have been gifts from King Charles.

The matching charcoal and beige merino wool scarves are the result of Highgrove and The Prince’s Foundation’s recent collaboration. Princess Anne, who was once again crowned the hardest working royal in 2023, loosely draped her new £115 accessory over her white coat.

She further added to her outfit with an impressive pheasant feather-embellished hat.

The woolly accessory, which you can purchase for £115, goes by the name of “The Highgrove Heritage Scarf”. It was inspired by The Campaign for Wool’s 10th Anniversary Scarf, created by the King.

The campaign launched in October to coincide with the start of the London Craft Week. The scarf, keeping in tune with Charles’ focus on climate change activism, was sustainably sourced.

The wool is completely traceable, and is crafted from 100 percent ultrafine RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) merino wool from Australia. Its design is made after the iconic Prince of Wales check, woven over an enlarged Shepherd check.

The King, alongside Queen Camilla, led the way for the festive visit, watched by over 2,000 well-wishers. Princess Kate followed with children Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince George, ten. Little Prince Louis, five, trotted behind them, hand-in-hand with his nine-year-old cousin Mia Tindall.

Also joining the royal procession were the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Zara and Mike Tindall, joined by daughter Lena, five.

However there were some controversial additions to the walk. For the second year in a row, Prince Andrew was part of the procession after being stripped of his royal titles.

And his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson made histroy by taking part in the walk, which is normally reserved for close family.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their respective husbands followed close behind.
