A rug can be the missing ingredient that pulls a room together and can make spaces feel cosier, too. As winter approaches, we’ve found a Dunelm rug that shoppers are saying “adds a touch of warmth” to any space.

Dunelm’s Pebble Patchwork Rug is made from 68% wool, and comes in blue, grey, natural and olive, reports Birmingham Live.

Its smallest size, 80cm x 150cm, costs £65, and there are three more to choose from: 120cm x 170cm priced at £109, 160cm x 230cm at £189, and the largest, 200cm x 290cm will set you back £299.

This woven rug has a flat pile arranged in a checkerboard design, adding texture to a room, while its subtle shades bring some colour to an area without being overpowering.

One satisfied customer said: “I’m in love with this rug. The soft, neutral colours go perfectly in our living room and make it feel so warm and cosy.

“The patchwork design adds just the right amount of texture without taking over the room, and it pulls all my furniture together beautifully.Totally recommend if you want something stylish, comfy, and low-maintenance!”

Another shopper commented: “The rug is absolutely beautiful. I was slightly concerned as to whether our dogs would pull any of the threads with their claws…Pleased to say it passed the test beautifully. It really has made the room and I’m absolutely delighted with the rug.”

As this is a looped, textured rug, it may feel too rough to those who prefer a more plush pile, so it’s worth considering before purchasing. Despite this, one shopper said: “There are softer rugs out there but I wouldn’t say it feels rough and I like how it feels under my feet.”
