Donald Tusk has given Keir Starmer a master plan to destroy Britain and hand it to the EU

Polish news anchor pulled off air as Tusk reforms take effect

In a few short days, Donald Tusk has provided Europe with the unfolding vision of a horrifying dystopia of a country being taken over by leftist pro-EU parties.

Tusk’s pro-EU coalition very narrowly won the election on October 15 even though the governing Law and Justice Party (PiS) was still easily the biggest party.

It came though after the EU led by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen actively intervened to try to force PiS out of power and influence the election. Von der Leyen had tried and failed the same trick in Hungary where Viktor Orban held off a pro-EU coalition and Italy where Giorgia Meloni defeated another pro-EU grouping.

The interference took the form of appealing to voters in Poland to vote against its government and before that, in a truly sinister move, withhold tens of billions of euros owed to the eastern European country for not bending its knee to the Commission’s authority.

This time though with a former Polish Prime Minister and European Council President in Donald Tusk as their frontman, the Brussels elite got its way – just.

What has unfolded is the sort of Brussels-sponsored political crackdown you might expect from an autocratic regime…and the worrying thing is that this could be the blueprint for Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour.

Here are four rapid steps Tusk took which Starmer may follow:

1. Create a pro-EU coalition

Tusk: Donald Tusk knew his Civic Coalition stood no chance of victory alone against the popular rightwing PiS government and its struggle to protect Poland from EU bullying.

So he grouped up with two other parties – the Third Way (inspired by Sir Tony Blair) and the Left – to form a pro-Brussels unity coalition which just achieved a majority and has blocked the most popular party (PiS) from power.

Starmer: While Starmer has a 20-plus point lead in the polls there seems little need to talk about coalitions and backroom deals with other parties. But that can rapidly change.

If Labour’s lead drops to 11 points or below then it will be unlikely to win enough seats to hold a majority on its own. That means Labour will have to turn to other pro-EU parties such as the Lib Dems and SNP to hold a majority.

No doubt the price of that would be a Scottish referendum and eventual re-entry into the EU (which most of the Labour Remainers would be delighted to facilitate).

Starmer has denied he would do a deal with the SNP but he also once described Corbyn as a friend and denied his leadership was anti-Semitic when he needed to become leader himself. Starmer has proven he can change his tune when it suits him.

2. Go woke

Tusk: A deal with parties of the left leaves one major comfort zone in which they can all share and that is going woke.

So it was not surprising that Tusk’s new coalition’s very top priorities included cancelling hate speech (aka cracking down on freedom of speech) and promoting LGBTQ+ culture and climate change issues including green taxes.

The plan seems all too familiar…

Starmer: We know from when Starmer and his deputy Angela Rayner took the knee in that infamous picture to pay homage to the Marxist Black Lives Matters as thugs supporting the organising were rioting in British streets desecrating statues.

Starmer also refused to say what a woman for a long time was and has only recently admitted that it is a biological female – albeit reluctantly. Then there was the time his poppy disappeared during Remembrance while producing a video for Muslims.

He has opposed all attempts to control illegal migration and wants to fork out £28billion on a climate change plan.

It is a near certainty that given the keys to Downing Street Starmer will be as woke as Tusk if not more.

3. Go to Brussels to get instructions

Tusk: Once sworn in as Prime Minister, Tusk’s first act was to rush to Brussels to get his instructions about what his government should actually do.

The reason for it was to release the tens of billions of euros that the Commission had frozen which were supposed to go to Poland. Of course, they were only too happy to hand over the cash to their former fellow eurocrat, their placeman.

He in turn agreed to remove all the protection for Polish domestic law and traditions which PiS had valiantly fought to protect and to submit to Brussels rule.

Starmer: We have seen already that Starmer and senior Labour figures have been itching to go over to do deals with the EU and find out what they want Britain to do.

This started with the trip to Paris and an astonishing agreement on tackling illegal migration which would hand control of the issue to Brussels and see Britain take 100,000 more illegal migrants than it already does.

But even before that Starmer was promising to shadow rules and regulations from the EU red tape and not diverge.

Then there are the concerns over his shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy apparently being keen on Britain joining an EU army.

It goes on.

Starmer has said he will not take Britain back into the EU, single market or customs union, but as noted before this is a man who has made so many U-turns that he looks like a spinning ballerina including the one about Corbyn being his friend and just the right chap to be Prime Minister.

4. Cancel a free media

Tusk: The most sinister act of all though was Tusk’s decision to literally take out scrutiny and a free media by sacking the management of the state media and letting it in effect go into liquidation.

Other media have been thrown to the wolves as well and Express.co.uk has been concerned by worried journalists who believe their outlets are in danger or will shortly go bust.

The Polish media has been bravely eurosceptic and stood up for its country so clearly it had to be removed and suppressed. Tusk spent little time doing that.

The sad video attached to this story shows the last seconds of one channel where Tusk’s government literally pulled the plug.

Starmer: Surely Starmer would not go so far? You could never cancel a free media in Britain. Well, the Labour leader may well be saying: “Hold my beer to that one.”

Let us remember that while Starmer was the Director of Public Prosecutions who refused to intervene to ensure Jimmy Savile was tried for his litany of abuses, he did lead the prosecution of journalists over alleged phone hacking.

Labour has always argued that the extensive Leveson reforms did not go far enough and have promised to bring in what is termed as “Leveson 2”.

Labour supported the plan to bankrupt media outlets by forcing them to pay for every legal case against them even if the outlet had done nothing wrong.

Starmer and his party have a strong track record of cracking down on free media and the temptation to have a go at one they blame for Brexit (we are also happy to take the credit for that one) and to ensure scrutiny of politicians is reduced further will be strong.

They will have some powerful allies in wealthy and celebrity types (including Harry and Meghan) who have been baying for measures to end scrutiny into their lives and effectively close down a free press.
