Desperate hunt for missing 14-year-old girl who vanished after going to ASDA


Greater Manchester Police has launched a desperate appeal for a 14-year-old girl who went missing on Friday. Police are looking for Phoebe who reportedly went missing after going to Asda in their school uniform. They are appealing to anyone with information that could help trace Phoebe.

Alongside the appeal, police released a picture of Phoebe who they describe as 5ft 4in tall with blonde hair. Anyone with any information about the potential whereabouts of the teenager is being asked to come forward or contact charity Crimestoppers.

The teenager was last seen at the Eastlands branch of Asda on Friday afternoon. The supermarket is at the junction of Alan Turing Way and Ashton New Road, close to Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers in Manchester want to trace Phoebe, 14, last seen at Asda, Eastlands, at around 3pm on Friday 8 December.

“She is 5ft 4in tall with blonde hair and was last seen wearing her school uniform – navy blazer, white shirt, black trousers and black trainers.

“Anyone with information about Phoebe’s whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 3678. Information can also be reported via or 101, or shared anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, always dial 999.”
