The Danish Royal Family have left fans puzzled with a new family portrait which they have released to mark the 13th birthday of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik have four children altogether – Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, and twins Vincent and Josephine.
The image shared to Instagram shows the brother and sister posing side by side, however, royal watchers online noticed that the picture appeared to be adjusted, taking two cropped images from a single photo and placing them side-by-side.
Strangely enough the twins are wearing exactly the same outfits and striking exactly the same pose as they did in the birthday portrait released for their elder brother Prince Christian’s 18th last October.
The blunder was called out on social media, with one X user writing: “The poses look identical”, while another added: “Not only the poses. I’d say it’s the same photo but cropped.”
Another royal watcher acknowledged: “Now that you point it out. I think you are correct. They just photoshopped the image of the twins.”
One more social media account commented: “What! That is odd. They should have just taken a separate picture.”
In the image taken for Christian’s 18th birthday, the twins are positioned at either end of the family photo, with Mary and Frederik posing next to their eldest son, with Queen Margrethe and Princess Isabella also in the picture.
There have been reports swirling recently that Frederik had an affair with Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova after pictures were shared of them spending time together in Madrid.
Ms Casanova has vehemently denied the claims, however Mr Dampier said: “It’s possible that the Queen took this action because she would have been terrified of the marriage breaking up and the Royal Family losing Mary.
“It seems an extraordinary coincidence that she should make this unexpected announcement just a couple of months after stories emerged of the Crown Prince supposedly having an affair.”
