Comedian breaks silence after Jewish man 'screamed out of show for not applauding'

A comedian has broken his silence after coming under fire for reportedly “screaming” at a Jewish audience member “because he refused to applaud a Palestine flag”.

Paul Currie was performing at the Soho Theatre on Dean Street on Saturday, February 10 when Israeli man Liahav Eitan was hounded out of the show with the comedian accused of encouraging the crowd to chant ‘get the f*** out’ and ‘free Palestine’.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it could investigate, while Soho Theatre bosses have apologised and said they are looking into the incident.

The controversial comedian – who describes himself as a ‘professional d***head on social media – has now appeared to defend his alleged behaviour by posting a pro-Palestine poster to his Instagram story this morning.

“I will not quietly nor politely sit and make house within the depravity of this killing machine,” the poster reads.
