Some of the best Western movies of all time are available to watch on various streaming services, including one that has just been added to Amazon’s catalogue. While critics gave this movie bad reviews, audiences begged to differ with their takes.
The film was added to Amazon Prime Video on September 26 along with a slew of other titles, including several comedy and horror movies. It has a star-studded cast, with names like Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, and Dermot Mulroney leading the charge. The film, if you haven’t guessed yet, is Young Guns, which was originally released in 1988. Reviews from casual viewers for this film are mostly positive, and it has a 76% audience score.
Young Guns follows four young gunslingers led by Billy the Kid. Together, they embark on a mission to seek revenge for the murder of John Tunstall, a cattle rancher who was their benefactor and father figure.
Billy the Kid was actually a real person. He was an outlaw and gunfighter of the Old West who was linked to nine murders. The jury is out on how accurate this film’s depiction is, but it seemed to entertain audiences regardless.
