Clarkson's Farm's local councillor quits after receiving death threats from fans

Jeremy Clarkson’s local councillor has announced he is stepping down after receiving death threats from fans of the TV star’s show, Clarkson’s Farm. Dean Temple, 46, who represents the Chadlington and Churchill ward home to Diddly Squat Farm on West Oxfordshire District Council, said his decision was “One hundred per cent” influenced by the Amazon Prime show.

The council features prominently in the series, with Clarkson frequently criticising it for thwarting his plans. Cllr Temple revealed: “All of a sudden I was getting calls, death threats from all over the world.”

He will now seek election in nearby Witney in tomorrow’s local poll.
