Clarkson’s Farm viewers to ‘boycott’ series 3 over unexplained loss of fan favourite

Clarkson’s Farm viewers are threatening to boycott Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime Video series after a devastating moment just minutes into the new season 3’s first episode.

Clarkson’s Farm has been a smash hit with fans who have seen the expert motoring journalist transformed into a hapless farmer with new stars like Kaleb Cooper and girlfriend Lisa Hogan by his side at Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton.

And one fan favourite from series 2 – Pepper the heifer cow – captured fans’ hearts as well as Jeremy’s as he promised to keep Pepper as a pet on the Oxfordshire farm despite running into problems getting his restaurant approved by West Oxfordshire District Council.

Clarkson’s Farm fans loved Pepper so much, there’s even graffiti like ‘we love Peppa’ scrawled by visitors on the side of the barn that makes up the farm shop.

At the start Clarkson’s Farm 3 episode one, Jeremy finds out he has been served an enforcement notice by the council. As well as banning Clarkson and co from reopening the restaurant, Jeremy finds he’s not even allowed to put plant pots outside it.

Jeremy then admits defeat, announcing that the restaurant won’t reopen, which means he has to say goodbye to his beloved herd – including fan favourite Pepper.

Jeremy Clarkson said: “I’m finding today really quite sad because for the last year I’ve been opening the curtains in the morning and see the cows. And I love that, making cow noises. It just cheers my heart every morning to see them.

“Are the calves going to be a bit upset tonight?”

Kaleb Cooper said: “You won’t sleep tonight. They’ll be calling all night long.”

Jeremy then asked the dour farm manager Charlie Ireland: “Pepper’s going obviously. What do you think will become of her?”

Charlie told him: “I wouldn’t ask too many questions about Pepper if I were you. Don’t ask questions you don’t want to know the answer to.”

Jeremy then silently watched as Pepper was loaded into a transporter along with the other cows, before exhaling and adding: “Oh… Christ.”

Fans were absolutely devastated about the moment with some even threatening to boycott the rest of the series, while others hit out at the council.

@avalubings said: “#ClarksonsFarm after Pepper…you are no longer a series I want to watch…idiots!

@casperthegh0st said: “Why am I wanting to cry over Jeremy’s cows?! Poor Pepper. @WodcNews you utter b****, what have you got against farmers? #ClarksonsFarm”

@chris_altv said: “Watching #ClarksonsFarm and 5 mins in Pepper is gone! Seeing Lisa and Jeremy gutted at moves they were having to make is awful. All because of a petulant council and their ridiculous battle with Jeremy.”

But on the whole, fans have loved Clarkson’s Farm 3 so far, although, between Gerald’s diagnosis and the tears from Lisa Hogan over their new pig project, there are plenty of heartbreaking moments still to come.
