Chris Hemsworth overshadowed by stunning wife Elsa Pataky at Met Gala 2024

Chris Hemsworth and his wife of 13 years Elsa Pataky hit the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala, where the duo donned Greek God-like attire.

The Met Gala hosted by Vogue’s Anna Wintour is considered the biggest event of the year in fashion, with this year’s theme billed as “The Garden of Time.”

The Thor star – who was styled by Samanatha Mcmillen – arrived in a cream colored Tom Ford three-piece-suit that was buttoned rather low, showing off the Marvel superhero’s chest.

Elsa also selected a shimmering gold Tom Ford gown paired with gold cuffs and a Goddess-like gold crown while her hair was tied back into a long, Rapunzel-like braid.

This is the first time that the Hemsworth brother is attending the fair – and he is doing so as a co-chair, alongside Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Zendaya.

Chris made the announcement about his role back in February, posting on Instagram: “Not a bad lineup!! Anyone got a Garden of Time outfit I can borrow?”

The news comes on the heels of Chris’ shocking announcement that he was taking time away from acting to spend time with family

The Marvel star shared the decision came after he found out through genetic testing that he has a pre-disposition for Alzheimer’s.

“It made me think about my kids and how they’re growing up and things are changing so dramatically, and I want to sit, I want to soak it in,” he told Men’s Health last year. “I don’t want to be in a sprint anymore.”

He added: “I want to be right here and appreciate everything that’s in front of me.”

The duo – who have been married for 13 years – have three children, India, their 11-year-old daughter, and nine-year-old twin brothers Tristan and Sasha.
