Chinese horoscope 2024: The three luckiest animals in the Year of the Dragon

As we welcome the Year of the Dragon in Chinese New Year 2024, three animal zodiac signs are set to have a lucky year. The celebration will take place across the country on February 10.

The tale behind the animal zodiacs is an ancient myth about a race across a river by 12 animals. Despite being able to fly, the dragon came fifth in the race.

The Jade Emperor was puzzled and asked the dragon why it didn’t come first. The dragon explained that it had stopped to bring rain to a village and helped the rabbit cross the river by blowing breath onto the log the rabbit was holding onto.

Impressed by the Dragon’s kindness, the Jade Emperor named it the fifth animal in the zodiac. People born in the year of the Dragon are known for their admirable traits, such as decisiveness, sensitivity, and ambition.

According to the Chinese zodiac, the dragon, rat and monkey will receive good luck this year. Here’s what they can expect in terms of luck, according to astrologer Inbaal Honigman.
