Child, seven, is found dead in a house as police launch murder probe and make arrest


The death of a seven-year-old child is now the subject of a murder inquiry. Officers were called to Upper Market Street, Haverfordwest, in Wales on Wednesday. 

In a statement released on X, Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a child. Officers were called to an address in Upper Market Street, Haverfordwest this morning, Wed 10th Jan.

“One person has been arrested & the investigation is ongoing. Our thoughts are with the family.” According to the Daily Mail, the person arrested on suspicion of murder is a woman.

The road was sealed off for some time as motorists were urged to find alternative routes.
