Celebrities who have made staggering property profits in 2023 – who made the largest?

Real estate experts Agent Advice oversaw more than 130 celebrity-involved property purchases since January 2023.

In their analysis, they looked into which celebrities achieved the highest profits by comparing the original purchasing prices to what they sold for.

Chris Heller, co-founder of Agent Advice, said this year’s property transactions have been “record-breaking”.

Heller elaborated: “The impressive profits generated by these celebrities emphasise the resilience and allure of the luxury property market.”

Making the most property gain of around £36,679,115 in profit is Ted actor Mark Wahlberg.

Nearing £37million in profit, Mark Wahlberg successfully sold his expansive 30,500 square-foot mega mansion in Beverley Park, Southern California for around £43million.

To illustrate the jump in monetary value, in 2009, Wahlberg acquired the land for about six million pounds.

Coming in second place is Brad Pitt, who sold his Los Feliz home where he raised six children with his now ex, Angelina Jolie.

Having bought the home three decades ago for just over one million pounds, he banked £24,562,049 in profit when he sold it to billionaire Aileen Getty in April of this year.

In third place, with an eye-watering profit of £17,125,208 is singer Celine Dion.

The Canadian artist made headlines selling her 31,000-square-foot mansion in May, which houses four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, fetching a remarkable £23million.

And retired Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz made a wealthy few millions from the deal selling his mansion in Florida.

Ortiz’s recent transaction made over seven million pounds after having his house on the market for only four months.

Heller said: “Celebrities are not only making substantial profits but also strategically timing their sales.

“This in-depth analysis also revealed fascinating patterns, such as February, April, and August yielding the highest profits.”
