BT has just confirmed a huge update to one of its popular broadband services. Plusnet, which is owned by the UK telecoms firm, has revamped its look with a fresh logo, branding that features a new Plusso character and cheaper deals designed to tempt customers away from rival providers. In fact, plans now start at just £22.99 a month and include download speeds of up to 145 Mbps. That price is around £8 per month cheaper than similar speeds from BT’s own brand.
If that’s not fast enough, there are other options, with those opting for quicker connections able to bag a Reward Card worth up to £75. That freebie is on offer when signing up for qualifying Full Fibre 500 packages and above.
Plusnet’s relaunch is part of BT Group’s latest multi-brand approach to home broadband. This uses three brands, including BT, EE and Plusnet, to help reach different kinds of UK customers. Plusnet is the group’s simpler, value-led option, with customers choosing it for its clear pricing, value for money and customer service.
To celebrate this relaunch, Plusnet is also dishing out an eye-catching reward by giving 100 existing customers a whole year of free broadband. That means they won’t pay a penny for their internet connection for a whole 12 months.
