NEW LONDON, Connecticut — The brother of alleged White House Correspondents’ Dinner gunman Cole Allen reported the wacko’s manifesto to Connecticut police about two hours after the terrifying incident — and maybe even before the bullets started flying, according to reports.
The brother called the New London Police Department around 10:50 p.m. Saturday — a little over two hours after Allen allegedly tried to barge through security with a shotgun.
The sibling reported the wild anti-Trump manifesto that 31-year-old Allen allegedly sent him minutes before storming the Washington D.C. dinner around 8:35 p.m., sending President Trump and members of his cabinet running for cover.
Police initially said only a person “who expressed concern” called to share information “pertinent to the matter,” but CT Insider reported the caller was in fact Allen’s brother.
Allen’s brother got married last year and his wife is expecting a baby, neighbors told The Post.
Police were posted at the apartment complex, where the couple lives on the second-floor.
And it may not have been the first call the brother made to report the manifesto.
President Trump said Saturday night that Allen’s family had reached out to police before the shooting.
But the timeline of those calls is now unclear, with White House officials still trying to pin down the details, CNN’s Alayna Treene reported on X.
New London police later said it received a call only after the shooting.
“The New London Police Department remains committed to working collaboratively with our law enforcement partners at all levels to ensure public safety,” the department said in a statement.
The department interviewed Allen’s brother after the call, and has closed its case, according to CT Insider.
Allen allegedly sent his family members a hairbrained manifesto where he railed against the president, security at the Correspondents’ Dinner — and signed off as “Friendly Federal Assassin.”
Within about 10 minutes of sending the manifesto, he charged through the halls of the Washington Hilton with a shotgun and pistol in an attempt to reach the ballroom where Trump, First Lady Melania, Vice President Vance, numerous White House officials and scores of reporters were eating dinner.
There was a brief exchange of gunfire before Allen was tackled and detained. President Trump was safely evacuated from the ballroom.
Allen’s alleged manifesto appeared to be targeting the president, his officials in the room — and reportedly anybody who got in his way.
“I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” Allen wrote in an apparent reference to the president.
“In order to minimize casualties, I will also be using buckshot rather than slugs (less penetration through walls),” he wrote.
“I would still go through most everyone here to get to the targets if it were absolutely necessary (on the basis that most people *chose* to attend a speech by a pedophile, rapist, and traitor, and are thus complicit) but I really hope it doesn’t come to that,” he added.
Allen lives in California, but has family members on the East Coast.
