British Airways stewardess flown home after boozy fight in £2k-a-night Maldives hotel

A British Airways stewardess was flown home from a £2,000-per-night resort after getting into a flight fueled by alcohol. Bosses ordered the airline worker back home following her shocking behaviour that was witnessed by hotel staff and guests.

She had been staying at the Oblu Xperience Ailafushi with the rest of the BA flight team, who had flown from Heathrow to capital Malé last week.

She had also used her staff travel perk to fly her daughter and a friend out with her on discounted tickets.

As part of the all inclusive package at the pricey resort, the unnamed worker delved into the unlimited alochol before continuing to drink on a balcony by one of their villas.

But fellow holidaymakers complained about “screaming and screeching” long into the night, with some saying it ruined their stay.

According to The Sun, an onlooker saw “pushing and shoving” and “fists flying” after hotel management warned the trio about their behaviour.

“Onlookers got involved as they tried to break it up. It was the last straw for the hotel. BA was informed and the stewardess was ordered home,” the source added. The hotel contacted BA threatening to dump the entire crew over the incident.

The stewardess returned to Heathrow last Wednesday — with her daughter and friend flying back the next day.

BA rules make clear that employees are responsible for the behaviour of anyone travelling under their name. The airline confirmed it is “investigating the matter”.
