Brianna Ghey’s twisted killer ‘Googled her crimes and bragged about how famous she is’

Brianna Ghey’s killer “Googled her crimes” from behind bars where she bragged about her “fame” to other inmates, according to disturbing reports.

Scarlett Jenkinson, 16, who will serve at least 22 years behind bars, told jail staff “they don’t mean anything to me” when discussing Brianna’s parents’ agony.

According to The Sun, the teenager was asked if she felt regret, to which she replied: “I did for two hours. Now I don’t give a f**k, and I’d do it again.”

Jenkinson and her accomplice Eddie Ratcliff, also 16, arranged to meet up with Brianna when they led her to Linear Park in Culcheth, Cheshire, and stabbed her 28 times.

Jenkinson, who was 15 at the time of the attack, must serve at least 22 years, while Ratcliffe faces a minimum of 20 years.

A source inside Adel Beck secure unit in Leeds revealed Jenkinson’s “chilling” boasting.

They said: “Before she was found guilty at trial she wasn’t publicly identified in the media but she Googled her name and found people talking about her.

“She loved the idea of fame. It was one of the only times I saw genuine emotion from her. She was proud of what she did. It was chilling.”

The source added that Jenkinson had asked staff to buy her a book on US serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who ate the body parts of his victims.

Senior Crown prosecutor Nicola Wyn Williams branded Brianna’s murder as a hate crime.

Speaking outside court she said: ” At just 16, Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe are convicted killers, responsible for the brutal murder of a vulnerable young girl who thought they were her friends. They have been given a life term of imprisonment and have shown no remorse.

“The planning, violence and the age of the killers is beyond belief. The two appear to have had a deadly influence on each other and turned what may have started out as dark fantasies about murder into a reality. The messages between the two provided a terrifying insight into the warped desires and fantasies of the two defendants. However, they also provided us with the motivation behind the attack, the plans and then the attempts to cover it up.

“Today’s sentence reflects the brutality of the two killers’ heartless crime – and while it cannot erase the pain of Brianna’s loss, we hope it brings some closure. The Crown Prosecution Service would again like to thank Brianna’s family for the courage and dignity they have shown throughout the proceedings, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with them at this difficult time.”
