Boots fans have 'ditched' Estee Lauder serum for much cheaper 'miracle in a bottle'

Skincare has become essential to many womens’ daily routines, with dermatologists preaching the benefits of using the right products from a young age.

There are thousands of skincare brands to choose from, and with such an overwhelming choice, it can be difficult to know how much to spend.

Splurging on high-end brands like Estee Lauder isn’t sustainable for all beauty fans, especially when a consistent routine requires repurchasing and replacing often.

Luckily, more affordable brands are starting to rival expensive products on quality, design and ingredients.

The L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum is being compared to Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum, except it’s almost £49 cheaper.

The serum has anti-ageing properties including hyaluronic acid to help fight fine lines and wrinkles and a blend of antioxidants to refresh and awaken the skin.

It should be applied in the evening and works overnight to help boost cell renewal, leaving a firm and radiant complexion the morning after.

The packaging is strikingly similar to Estee Lauder, with an elegant and stylish design that’s perfect for displaying on a dressing table.

95 percent of shoppers say they’d recommend the product, with some saying they ‘woke up with a glow’ after using it.

Kira said: ”Seems good quality, good consistency, hoping similar to Estee Lauder Night Repair. Good instructions. Didn’t leave my skin feeling dry, woke up with a glow. Would recommend others to try and give it a go.”

AngeB commented: ”I received a couple of samples of this serum & I’m so happy that I did. I normally use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and loved it except the price! But hey ho you only get 1 face right? On opening it was a nice thickish texture & not too much fragrance (thank goodness), it sunk into my skin beautifully, I do have dry skin though. In the morning my skin looked nice & plumped. After the 3rd day I noticed that quite a deep wrinkle I have noticed much less noticeable, and not so deep! Hooray! After day 7 there is barely any wrinkle left so I immediately jumped out & bought a bottle of this magic serum. I’ve ditched the expensive night serum and sticking with this from now on! It’s a miracle in a bottle & I’m sure with continued use my wrinkles will improve beyond recognition.”

Lizziemadwife also added: ”Got free samples of this and I have to say I’m impressed. I used it at night and sometimes only used half the sachet. It sinks in really well and apart from one night when I felt a bit of irritation it’s been very comfortable on my skin. I never thought I’d say this but the fine lines on my forehead are definitely less noticeable. I will definitely be buying a full size bottle.”

Some reviews mention that they felt some irritation on their sensitive skin, so if this applies to you it could be worth opting for a fragrance-free serum instead, like the Aveeno Face Calm and Restore Triple Oat Serum which also contains an antioxidant complex.
