Best job in Britain is up for grabs – with free holidays for your family | Travel News | Travel

The best job in Britain is now available. The role doesn’t offer a salary, but it does come with an extraordinary benefit. The lucky family chosen for the Chief Family Holiday Tester position will receive £10,000 worth of free holidays across Europe.

The role involves one UK-based family being whisked away on multiple trips to family-friendly resorts. Applicants will be required to test ice creams and sunbathing spots, and must be as adept at rating waterpark slides as they are at enjoying a late-night cocktail once the children are tucked up in bed.

All flights, accommodation and meals are included. The main requirement is that applicants must have at least one child under the age of 12.

This opportunity is a collaboration between family day out platform Day Out With The Kids (DOWTK) and holiday giant, TUI. They are seeking a family to test and review TUI’s top family-friendly resorts.

The winning family will be sent on multiple paid TUI holidays across Europe over a 12-month period. They will be expected to provide honest feedback, share social content and help understand what really matters to families when planning time away.

They’ll test out family-friendly resorts and share their candid thoughts on everything from splash parks and kids’ clubs to food, entertainment, and beyond.

A spokesperson for Day Out With The Kids said: “We want real families – the ones who pack snacks like pros, navigate kids’ clubs with confidence and rate a splash park just as highly as a sunset cocktail. Explorers, ice cream experts, pool-slide critics, parents who know the joy of an early breakfast and a rare, glorious lie-in.”

The position is available to UK-based families with at least one child under 12. The job specification indicates that candidates should be: “Full of personality and love family adventures. Confident in creating content, photos, videos or short reviews. Happy to appear in DOWTK and TUI marketing with consent.”

All applicants need to do is visit the TUI website and select three hotels they’d love to stay at, one each in these price ranges per person: Under £500, £500–£1,000 and £1,000+.

Then they’ll need to complete the entry form, providing the names of the hotels they chose and answering a few questions about their family.

The advert states: “We’re not looking for influencers, just real families who love to travel and can share their honest experiences with us in photos, videos or written feedback.”

Applications close on 4 August.
