Beatrice and Eugenie sending 'message of solidarity' to Prince William on Christmas outing

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie sent a clear “message of solidarity” to Prince William and the Royal Family with their outfit picks, a fashion expert claimed.

The Princesses of York joined the King and Queen Consort for their traditional walkabout following the Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

The pair were escorted by husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, an awkward Prince Andrew and beaming Sarah Ferguson only a few steps ahead.

While Kate, the Princess of Wales paved the way with a bright blue winter coat with a matching hat, Beatrice and Eugenie opted for a more muted combination of navy blues and blacks for their outfits of the day.

Fashion expert Jennifer Von Walderdorff suggested the sisters did not want to steal away the spotlight from more senior members of the family – instead putting in a united front with the Prince of Wales and the rest of their cousins.

Speaking to GB News, Von Walderdorff said: “Beatrice and Eugenie showed a message of solidarity on Christmas.

“It is clear they have stayed on good terms with their cousins and see no reason to put that in jeopardy.

“Therefore, the sisters played it neutral this year.”

The Royal Family’s 2023 was marred once more by the ongoing feud between the top members of the institution and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The year kicked off with the publication of the Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spare and concluded with the release of Omid Scobie’s bombshell book Endgame.

Beatrice and Eugenie have mostly been spared the impact of the quarrel as they have maintained a good relationship with both William and Harry.

Beatrice last year was even promoted to the top rank of counsellor of state, opening the door to her representing the King on official duties in his absence or the event of illness.

Eugenie is one of the few members of the Royal Family to have visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California since they stepped down from official duties nearly four years ago.

She and her husband Jack Brooksbank travelled to Montecito in 2022 with their eldest son August, and the Princess was spotted enjoying the Superbowl with her older cousin in Los Angeles.
