Banish slugs and snails from plants for free using natural elements

A gardening expert recently shared various methods to effectively eliminate slugs and snails from your plants, as these creatures can cause damage by feeding on new growth.

During an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, David Domoney provided advice on how to eradicate these pests.

Contrary to common belief that salt is the main enemy of slugs and snails, David emphasized that sunlight is actually a powerful deterrent, as it can dry them out.

He recommended avoiding late watering to allow the sun to dry up moisture, stating, “Never water late enough for the sun not to have a chance to dry it up afterwards, is my first big tip.”

These pellets, available for purchase from retailers like Amazon and B&Q, have fine barbs and fibers that deter slugs and snails by hindering their movement.

If these methods fail to deter the pests, David proposed using gravel, copper tape, or setting up a beer trap.

The beer trap involves burying a container in the ground with beer at the bottom to attract slugs, allowing for their humane removal.
