Banish log burner glass stains in ‘less than 5 minutes and no scrubbing’ with miracle item

There is nothing more frustrating than lighting your log burner, closing the door and not being able to see the fire through the glass stains.

Glass on a log burning stoves gets dirty in one of two ways – burning wet wood or burning wood with a lot of resin in it.

Over time, if not cleaned, households won’t be able to see the beautiful, glowing flames.

To remove the dreaded build-up of soot and tar, one mum has taken to the Mrs Hinch Army Facebook page to share how the cleaning task took her “less than five minutes”.

Michelle Gilbert posted a picture of her log burner glass where one door was filthy and the other was crystal clear – and it was all down to one product.

She said: “My first post. So excited to finally use ‘The Pink Stuff’ after hearing all the hype and I am not disappointed.

“Used it on the glass doors of my log burner. Took less than five minutes and no scrubbing.”

The Pink Stuff Miracle Cleaning Paste is designed for cleaning dirt, grime and stains on glass surfaces amongst many others.

The product can be picked up from Asda for just £1.49 or from Sainsbury’s for £1.50.

Other group members claimed that the glass can be cleaned with a damp newsier or cloth dipped in ash.

Jemma Fletcher asked: “Have you tried just rubbing your doors down with newspaper? I used to scrub mine daily until someone told me to use newspaper.”

Liz Purkiss wrote: “I use a damp cloth dipped in ash – comes clean so easily.”
