The shooting stemmed from a planned fight between two people who were feuding, cops said.

While police were responding to the brawl, the situation escalated into multiple people shooting at each other.

Two people were killed, according to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, WGHP reported. Police have not confirmed the total number of victims in the mass shooting.

Cops confirmed this is not an active-shooter situation.

The violence forced two local schools, Jefferson Middle School and Mount Tabor High School, to be put on lockdown.

The schools later announced they were operating normally and urged parents not to pick up their children.

Police used drones to help search the area for people involved in the shooting.
