Annapolis shooting: 3 dead, 3 injured after 'dispute' at home in Maryland's capital, police say


Three people are dead and three others are injured after a mass shooting Sunday night at a home in Maryland’s capital city, police said.

According to the Annapolis Police Department, the shooting took place at a home in a residential area along the waterfront just south of Back Creek.

Police have released little information about the victims, including their relationship to the shooter, calling the situation fluid. Officers responded to the home at 8 p.m., when police Chief Edward Jackson said officers found six people shot.

Three people died, one wounded victim was taken by medical helicopter to a local trauma unit and the other two victims were taken to local hospitals, police reported.

Police said there was no immediate danger to the public and a person was in custody in connection to the shooting. That person’s identity had not yet been released as of early Monday.
