Anna has previously lavished praise on Meghan in 2019 before her departure from the Royal Family.
In Vogue’s web series, Go Ask Anna, she disclosed: “I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5am.”
“She’s a typical California girl who rises early for yoga and meditation. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? That she was going to send messages via pigeon? I think she’s amazing.”
Anna also gave her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress, stating at the time: “The royal wedding had the whole world watching, and I think that her choice was brilliant. It was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown up.”
“It was an English designer [Clare Waight Keller], albeit one that was working for a French house, which in a way was a message to the world: ‘Yes, I’m from somewhere else, but I belong.”
“I thought she looked fantastic. The fact that she chose to walk down the aisle by herself, I also thought spoke for an independent woman.”
Meanwhile, Anna is also said to have been inspired to wear suits by Prince Harry’s wife.
In a candid revelation at the 2019 Women in the World summit in New York, as reported by Page Six, Vogue’s Anna Wintour expressed admiration for Meghan Markle’s fashion sense, saying: “Maybe it’s a little bit boring and time to change.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about suits recently so … thank you to the Duchess of Sussex! ” She praised Meghan further: “Obviously, her style is fantastic.”
Amidst the ongoing saga involving Harry and Meghan’s rift with the Royal household, PR guru Jordan James speculated that the couple’s chances of receiving an invitation may be jeopardised by the continued familial tensions.
Given their current status within the Royal Family and the ongoing drama, it wouldn’t be a shock if they were overlooked.
However, some believe that their presence at other major Hollywood events could earn them a spot on the guest list.
