American flies 4,000 plus miles just to egg GB News offices

A man claims to have travelled from the US to UK to egg the offices of GB News. Video footage posted on Instagram under the account Walter Masterson shows an egg being lobbed at the revolving glass doors of the channel’s headquarters in Swan Lane, London.

The video, which has been liked more than 17,000 times, shows a man who appears to be in the US doing a double take as he discovers there is an equivalent to “Fox News” in Britain.

It then shows a suitcase being packed before two eyes and a smiley mouth are drawn on a white, jumbo sized egg. The video then cuts to an airborne jet.

The egg appears a few more times on board the plane before it is shown at customs and being held as the bearer passes through border control.

It then appears at various locations across London, including outside the House of Parliament, in Brick Lane and at Borough Market.

The egg also accompanies the traveller to a production at the Old Vic theatre near Waterloo Station, at the Comedy Club and at a fancy restaurant where a smartly dressed waiter can be seen behind a selection of posh desserts.

In another scene, the egg is held up as what appears to be a pro-Palestine march takes place, with people walking by bearing placards and waving Palestinian flags.

Viewers later see a smartphone screen showing GB News’s address before panning to the actual offices in central London.

The egg is then thrown at the entrance, which gets covered in yolk and albumen. The person who threw it then flips their middle finger up at the doors before the footage shows them smiling at the camera with a clenched fist.

Fellow Instagram users hailed Mr Masterson a “legend”, with one commenting on the video: “I am British. I still live here in the UK. And I love what you did!”

Others asked how it was possible to get an egg through customs and whether the guy had “back up” eggs in case of a breakage.

One Instagram user joked: “Looks like you had an EGG-celent time.”

Another commented: “That was true dedication to the bit.”
