Alison Hammond's boyfriend, 26, urged to dump This Morning star in stern warning

Alison Hammond’s toyboy lover David Putman, who is 23 years her junior, is reportedly facing pressure from his mum to end the relationship. The This Morning star’s Russian-born beau has had the approval of her teenage son Aiden, but David’s mum, Olga, is said to have taken the opposite stance and begged him to end the fling.

According to sources, she’s keen for him to find a “nice Russian girl” his own age instead. David fled his home country to avoid facing frontline conflict during the war with Ukraine, but it has been suggested that his mum calls him on a daily basis to discuss his romance.

A source told The Sun that his mum has told him “in no uncertain terms” that he must end the relationship. Explaining her alleged concerns, they continued: “She thinks Alison is way too old for David and doesn’t like all the attention her TV fame has brought to her son.

“She’s uncomfortable that her son is with someone who has so much more financial power than him.” They added that she regularly tells him “how unhappy she is”.

However, the same source suggested that David will not be swayed by her opinions and has no conflicts about continuing to date Alison, who is 23 years his senior. The pair reportedly first met when she paid him £150 for a massage therapy treatment, and they have seemed inseparable in recent weeks.

The fling has attracted criticism, with some worrying for “vulnerable” Alison in case she gets “exploited” by her younger lover.

However, Denise Welch stood up in support for her romance ambitions.

Replying to the concerns of nay-sayers who stated it could “all end in tears”, she exclaimed: “It could also work out brilliantly well and be the best thing that ever happened to her!!!”

She added that her fellow ITV star is “a fabulous woman” who “deserves everything”.

Meanwhile, Alison revealed her delight that her 19-year-old son Aiden approves of the romance, pointing out that he usually “hates” anyone she’s been romantically linked with.

Although David has regularly posted scantily clad photos online, including a modelling shot of his tattooed physique wearing nothing more than a pair of Armani boxer shorts, Aiden has praised him for “not being too in your face”.

Alison revealed on the Parenting Hell podcast that she takes her son’s concerns seriously, admitting: “If Aiden doesn’t like them, this isn’t gonna work.”

Fortunately for the future of their romance, David doesn’t seem to have taken the same stance about his mum’s opinions.

Meanwhile, Alison has been receiving praise for her new For The Love of Dogs presenting role, despite an initial backlash as she took over from the late Paul O’Grady.

It recently emerged that a traumatic childhood experience could have left her with a fear of dogs, despite now presenting a canine-focused show.
