Aldi's April Fool's joke featuring British classic sparks unexpected reaction from fans


Through a witty wordplay, shoppers were informed they could soon enjoy the Specially Selected “Häggis-Dazs” ice cream.

Aldi Scotland posted on their Instagram: “Fancy trying something different for dessert? Our new Scottish Haggis Ice Cream is absolutely banging!

“Made with local Scottish Double Cream and Specially Selected Chieftain Haggis, it’s sure tae put a wee pep(per) in yer step!”

The April Fool’s Day prank may not have fooled anyone, but it did spark a wave of enthusiasm among Aldi fans, who clamored for it to be brought to life.

Priced at only £2.99, the faux product appeared to resonate with Scottish shoppers, suggesting it could be a potential hit.

“Nevermind April fool.. make it happen,” one Instagram user demanded.

Another fan took it to the next level with a very Scottish recipe idea, sharing: “This should actually be a product so we can deep fry it.”

“Haggis we’re on board with this!…” And another begged: “Send samples!” While many others loved the cheeky prank.
