AI generated images of a 'typical' home in each state, 30 biggest US cities

Have you ever wondered how the perception of your states’ traditional architecture stacks up to other U.S. states?

One home improvement company that wanted to envision what a “typical home” would look like in each state, asked an AI generator to create images for each, plus the 30 largest cities.

All Star Home, a roof, gutter and siding company in Raleigh, North Carolina, commissioned Midjourney for renderings to “test” the AI generator and “see what it would envision,” the company said in a statement released with the images.

The company also pulled the median home value in each state or city to “provide a lens into what these homes may potentially cost if they were for sale in your neighborhood.”

To prompt Midjourney’s AI renderings, which produces four images per prompt, All Star Home plugged in the location along with phrases like “photorealistic,” “life-like” and “sunny day.”

“While each home’s style was slightly different, most homes were spacious with two stories and large, landscaped yards, painting the picture of idealistic homes in each state,” the company said.

All Star Home chose one image per state or city and narrowed them down by how realistic looking the image was and images with the least amount of clutter.
