Virginia Giuffre – who claimed she was sexually assaulted as a teenager by Prince Andrew – said she was given four days to live by doctors after a horror accident. Writing on Instagram, she described the accident and said she had gone into renal failure. “They’ve given me four days to live,” she added.
The mum-of-three, 41, said she wanted to “thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life” adding “Godbless you all xx Virginia”. In a lengthy post shared alongside an image of Ms Giuffre showing her face looking bruised, she said “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology”.
Virginia’s father, Sky Roberts, commented on the post: “Virginia my daughter, I love you and praying you get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life.
“If there is anything in the world, I can do to help you, please let me know. My spirit is with you now and holding your hand.”
Ms Giuffre is reported to have recently separated from her husband in Australia, after 22 years of marrage. The Mail Online reports the couple had lived in in a communitry near Perth in Western Australia.
Three years ago, the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, paid a sum of millions of pounds to Ms Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement. He denies any sexual assault accusations.
Ms Giuffre, née Roberts, claimed she was sexually assaulted as a teenager by Prince Andrew after being recruited by jailed socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell, 62, was found guilty in December 2021 of helping disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse young girls.
Billionaire Epstein, a former boyfriend of Maxwell’s, died by suicide in 2019 in prison in Manhattan, New York, five weeks after he was arrested and charged with sex trafficking.
In 2017 Ms Giuffre launched legal action against Epstein alleging she was trafficked for sex aged 16 by Epstein and Maxwell. Ms Giuffre and Maxwell eventually reached an undisclosed settlement over a defamation case in 2017.
Ms Giuffre alleged Epstain forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew on at least three occasions when she was 17, and that she had spent two days with the royal in the US.
