Haley Kalil’s fight to toss out a lawsuit filed by her ex-husband, former Vikings tackle Matt Kalil, over “invasive” comments about his manhood has taken a new turn.
According to new legal docs obtained Wednesday by TMZ, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 33, has stated she did not specifically name the former first-round pick during a now-viral appearance on a 2025 Twitch livestream, when she suggested the size of his private parts led to the demise of their marriage.
Haley, who graphically detailed the size of a penis as “two Coke cans, maybe even a third” on Marlon Garcia’s “Mar-Athon” livestream, is calling attention to the former couple’s status as public figures, even as Matt’s lawsuit claims “viewers could and did readily infer” whom his ex spoke about.
Matt, 36, filed a lawsuit against Haley in January, claiming the “invasive commentary” derailed his attempt to keep a low profile after the conclusion of his football career at the end of the 2018 season.
The retired tackle played for the Vikings and Panthers across his seven-year career.
Haley, who cited “free speech” in a late January bid to toss out Matt’s lawsuit, is further alleging “there’s no case law where a woman’s truthful account of her own sexual pain has been found to be an invasion of someone else’s privacy,” according to TMZ.
Her lawyer, Matthew Bialick, told the outlet they “are more confident than ever that this case will be dismissed.”
“A woman’s right to provide a truthful account of her own relationships and her own past sexual trauma lies at the very core of First Amendment protections. Mr. Kalil’s brief mentioned the First Amendment a grand total of three times and offered no constitutional analysis whatsoever,” he said in a statement.
Haley and Matt were married from 2015-22.
He has since remarried and shares a 1-year-old son with his current wife, Keilani Asmus.
