Prince Andrew brutally nicknamed ‘entitled imbecile’ as expert issues verdict | Royal | News

Prince Andrew will continue to be seen as “an entitled imbecile,” claims a royal expert who has commented on his controversial ties to Jeffrey Epstein. It comes as the US Department of Justice and FBI concluded that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not have a so-called client list that could implicate high-profile associates, and that he did take his own life – contradicting long-held conspiracy theories.

Royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, told Fox News Digital: “Prince Andrew remains an embarrassment to the Royal Family. No one has forgotten his infamous Newsnight interview or the photograph with Epstein… He continues to be seen as an entitled imbecile.”

He added: “He can only be seen with the Royal Family inside a church without attracting fiercely negative comment. [But] unless he accepts that he has been found guilty in the court of public opinion and… [shows] some repentance or, at the very least, something positive which helps others, at his best, his future is well behind him.”

It comes as as Fox News Digital states it obtained a two-page internal Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI memo that says that Epstein, a late American financier and convicted paedophile, died by suicide, and there is no list of clients who were involved in exploitation.

Part of the memo stated: “This systemic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list,’” a portion of the memo read. “There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

The memo also stated that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 in the Metropolitan Correctional Facility in New York City.

Epstein died in a New York prison cell as he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was more than a decade after his conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor, for which he was registered as a sex offender.

The interview Prince Andrew & the Epstein Scandal, aired on Newsnight on the BBC in November 2019, it questioned his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and also questioned the Prince’s relationship with the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre who alleged he sexually assaulted her.

The Duke consistently and vehemently denied the allegations. In 2022, He reached an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre who had brought a civil case against the Prince for sexual assault. The settlement was not an admission of guilt, and Andrew accepted no liability.

No longer a working royal, Prince Andrew has lost his HRH status, was stripped of his military titles and patronages and stepped down from royal duties following the interview.

Giuffre took her life in April of this year at her farm in Western Australia, her publicist confirmed, at the age of 41.
