EasyJet makes check-in change for passengers at 6 UK airports | Travel News | Travel

EasyJet passengers flying from six major UK airports can check-in for flights and drop off their luggage the night before thanks to a unique service.

The budget airline runs a twilight bag drop at select airports across the country to allow passengers to “beat the rush” on the morning of their flight. Instead of having to queue up at the airport on the day of travel to check-in, this can be done the day before to help save time the following morning. The service is only available at six UK airports, plus Berline Airport and Amsterdam Schipol in Europe, and is restricted to passengers who have early flight departures.

Passengers who have a flight departing in the morning from an airport that offers the twilight service can drop their bags off at the easyJet bag drop area during the specified hours.

The service is free to use and passengers simply need to check-in online, or via the easyJet mobile app, before arriving at the airport, and must bring along their passport and boarding passes.

The easyJet twilight bag drop is available at the following six UK airports during the specified hours below:

London Gatwick Airport (LGW)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 8am
  • Bags can be dropped off between 8pm and 10pm

Bristol Airport (BRS)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 8:30am
  • Bags can be dropped off between 6pm and 9pm

Manchester Airport (MAN)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 8:30am
  • Bags can be dropped off between 6pm and 9pm

Edinburgh Airport (EDI)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 12 noon
  • Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 8pm

Glasgow Airport (GLA)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 12 noon
  • Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 9pm

Belfast Airport (BFS)

  • For passengers with flights departing before 8:00am
  • Bags can be dropped off between 8pm and 9pm

Passengers can drop bags off on behalf of anyone that is travelling on the same booking and all luggage will be safely stored in a restricted zone in the airport.

EasyJet said: “Twilight Bag Drop allows you to drop your bags off at the airport the evening before an early morning flight, so you have less to do the following day.

“You can use Twilight Bag Drop if you have an early morning flight. Simply drop off your bags (look out for the easyJet Bag Drop area) during the specified hours the night before.

“Check-in online or via our mobile app before you arrive at the airport. The evening before your flight, take your bags to the airport and drop them at the easyJet Bag Drop area. Don’t forget to bring your boarding passes and passports. Then when it’s time to fly, simply breeze through the airport – feeling fresh and ready for your flight.”
