6-month-old boy found dead in NYC home: cops

A 6-month-old boy was found dead in Brooklyn early Wednesday, cops said. 

The unresponsive newborn was found just after midnight in a home near Flatlands Avenue and East 99th Street in Canarsie, police said.

EMS rushed the baby to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

Sources said that the infant was found with no signs of trauma.

Police were investigating whether the child’s death was criminal. 

The Office of the Medical Examiner will probe the cause of death.
