3 dead, dozens injured as tour bus carrying about 50 people crashes on Pennsylvania highway


Three people are dead and dozens suffered minor to severe injuries during a Sunday night bus crash along a Pennsylvania interstate, state police said.

The two-vehicle crash took place just before 11:50 p.m. ET on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County’s Lower Paxton Township, near the state capital of Harrisburg.

The wreck involved a 2005 tour bus carrying about 50 people and a 2016 Honda CRV, Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement online.

According to a preliminary incident report, the bus was traveling south on I-81 and was navigating a curve when it came upon the Honda stopped along the highway in the right lane of traffic.
