Netflix is about to drop a fresh wave of new titles, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most varied release weeks in June.

Whether you’re after a harrowing real-life documentary, an emotional family drama, or just a healthy dose of binge-worthy nostalgia, this week’s lineup has you covered.

From the real story behind the doomed OceanGate Titan expedition to the return of Grey’s Anatomy for its record-breaking 21st season, here are the 13 most notable new films and series arriving between June 10 and June 14.

June 10 (Tuesday)

Families Like Ours

Set in a near-future version of Denmark, this emotional family drama follows a teenage girl forced to choose between her divorced parents and her boyfriend when the country is permanently evacuated. As citizens become refugees scattered across the globe, the drama zeroes in on identity, loyalty, and the heartbreak of leaving home behind. Expect intimate storytelling with a global backdrop.

Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy

In November 2021, ten people died and hundreds were injured during Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston. This new documentary investigates what really happened that night, featuring exclusive interviews with survivors, emergency responders, and members of the festival staff. Through never-before-seen footage and on-the-ground accounts, it asks urgent questions about accountability, event safety, and the blurred lines between performance and catastrophe.

June 11 (Wednesday)

Aniela

In this Polish-language drama, a wealthy woman loses everything when her husband leaves her penniless – and she’s forced to re-enter society with nothing but her razor-sharp wit. Set in the elite circles of Warsaw, Aniela blends satire with social commentary as it watches a fallen socialite claw her way through a new reality. Stylish, acidic, and character-driven, this is a darkly funny survival story.

Cheers to Life

A pendant lost to time sends one woman on a journey across Israel, retracing her family history, uncovering long-buried truths, and discovering unexpected love. This romantic drama combines sweeping landscapes with intimate emotional beats – and offers a deeply personal look at memory, legacy, and connection.

Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft.

Four Frenchmen are arrested in 2013 in the Dominican Republic after 700 kilos of cocaine are found on a chartered flight – but none of them fit the profile of seasoned traffickers. With striking reenactments and real-world interviews, this gripping documentary takes a forensic look at the international drug trade and the mystery behind one of France’s most baffling criminal cases. Who planned the smuggling operation, and why were these men the ones left holding the bag?

Our Times

What begins as a period drama set in the 1960s shifts gears when two theoretical physicists successfully crack wormhole theory – only to be flung forward into the year 2025. Part science fiction, part character study, Our Times plays with big ideas and intimate dilemmas, exploring the ripple effects of ambitiion, time, and human connection across generations.

Reviewers have hailed the film “one of the best ever”, with one adding: “This movie blew my mind.”

Titan: The OceanGate Disaster

On June 18, 2023, the world held its breath when the submersible Titan, en route to the Titanic wreck, went missing. This documentary examines the events leading up to the implosion that killed all five passengers – and the maverick CEO who spearheaded the voyage. Through interviews with experts, rescuers, and critics, it dives into the line between innovation and recklessness.

June 12 (Thursday)

The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish – Season 2

The animated legacy continues in this vibrant reboot of the beloved Nickelodeon series. In Season 2, Hazel adjusts to her new life in the bustling city of Dimmadelphia – where, unbeknownst to her classmates, her fairy godparents live right next door. With fresh magic, mischievous new villains, and laugh-out-loud antics, the series brings in younger viewers while keeping nostalgic for older audiences.

FUBAR – Season 2

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in action as CIA operative Luke Brunner, who’s still juggling top-secret missions with awkward family dinners. In Season 2, Luke and his daughter Emma find themselves chasing down a new terrorist threat – and just trying to stay alive long enough to mend their relationship.

Plane

Gerard Butler headlines this survival thriller as a pilot forced to make an emergency landing on a remote Philippine island after a lightning strike cripples his aircraft. But surviving the crash is only the beginning. When local militants take the passengers hostage, Butler’s character teams up with an accused murderer (Mike Colter) to fight back.

June 13 (Friday)

Kings of Jo’Burg – Season 3

In the third season of this South African supernatural crime series, Veronica Masire (played by Connie Ferguson) steps into her brother’s role, balancing the family legacy with an ancient curse that haunts their dynasty – complete with power struggles, mystical secrets, and underground dealings across Johannesburg.

Rana Naidu – Season 2

Back for a second season, the Indian crime thriller Rana Naidu sees the titular fixer reuniting with his estranged father to take on one last high-stakes assignment. But with Mumbai’s elite watching, old enemies circling, and family tensions boiling over, it may be more than either of them can handle.

June 14 (Saturday)

Grey’s Anatomy – Season 21

There’s no slowing down TV’s longest-running medical drama. As Grey’s Anatomy returns for its 21st season, Meredith Grey continues to grapple with life inside and outside of the hospital, while the next generation of doctors fights to leave its mark. With new faces, returning fan favourites, and the signature blend of surgery and heartbreak, this season proves the series is still going strong.
