At the time, the royal siblings were photographed sitting at the front of a log on the Splash Mountain ride, with adults from their mother’s entourage behind them and Diana seated at the back.
Royal fans were quick to spot the similarities to Harry’s childhood trip to the US, while others compared it to another visit by Harry with his mother at an amusement park in London during the same year.
One user wrote on X: “In 1993, Diana gave her sons Disney a glimpse of normal joy. Now, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie walk through that same magic. It’s a gentle echo of the life Diana deserved. Her legacy of love still surrounds Prince Harry and his family.”
A second fan added: “For fans of #HarryandMeghan , the moment was full of delight. For some, it stirred a tender memory: Diana and a young Prince Harry laughing their heads off on a theme park ride.
“Diana, just for a day, able to give her ‘Good King’ something resembling a normal, happy childhood.”
A third user said: “This is what freedom looks like for him and his children and I couldn’t be happier for them.”
A fourth one compared the Sussexes’s Disneyland visit to another visit by Diana and her sons to Thorpe Park in 1992, commenting: “Prince Harry with his mum Princess Diana at Thorpe Park [heart emoji] Prince Harry with his baby girl, Princess Lilibet-Diana at Disney Land.”
