Volodymyr Zelensky will today use today’s EU summit to make his case for stronger and more immediate action in support of Ukraine as it battles Russia’s ongoing invasion. Addressing press European leaders, the Ukrainian President called for increased military aid, including advanced weaponry, and emphasised the critical need for further sanctions against Moscow to weaken its war efforts.
He further stressed that Europe must show unwavering solidarity, warning that any cracks in the EU’s unified stance could play into Russia’s hands. Mr Zelensky also appealed for more financial assistance to help Ukraine cope with the devastating economic toll the war is taking on the country.
