The Sun reported that Andre’s last, ill-fated drive was filmed, showing his BMW speeding away at the beginning of the race before smoke appeared moments later.
The video then transitions to the aftermath of the crash, showing flaming wreckage strewn across the road. The BMW veered sharply right after losing control and smashed into a lamppost, according to the New York Daily News.
The driver was ejected through his windshield during the collision and was discovered on the pavement by first responders. This incident occurred just hours after he uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he is seen prepping his car for a race, saying “Late at night we getting ready,” while joking with his friends.
