Riot police charged into the crowd after voilence broke out in the stands during Serbia’s clash with England. The incident took place in the home section of the stadium in Belgrade, far away from where the visiting fans were based.
ITV touchline reporter Gabriel Clarke said: “The disturbance happened in the main stand and it was rather unnervy for a few monents.
“Some children had to be moved on. It was Serbian fans arguing between themselves. It was politically charged, pro and anti government.The police have moved in and calmed the situation.”
