The next wave of Xbox Game Pass titles have been unveiled by Microsoft, and it’s another stellar offering.
Coming to Xbox Game Pass between now and the beginning of June, it all starts with the launch of brand new deckbuilding sequel Monster Train 2, which is out now.
While the day-one release of Monster Train 2 is a big deal for fans of the original game, the highlight Xbox Game Pass release for the end of May is undoubtedly Metaphor ReFantazio, which joins the service on May 29.
From the director of Persona 5, Metaphor ReFantazio is easily one of the best RPGs ever made and a 2024 game of the year contender.
It features a similar time management system to the Persona games, albeit in a fantasy setting where citizens are competing to become the new King.
In addition to building a rapport with fellow characters and completing dangerous missions against the clock, players will unlock new Archetypes that transform the way you approach battles.
It really is an excellent game, and well worth checking out when it hits Xbox Game Pass on May 29.
Other games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming days and weeks include Creatures of Ava on May 22, alongside S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and Tales of Kenzera: Zau.
The hits keep on coming as we approach the end of the month, as Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 joins Xbox Game Pass on May 27.
Microsoft explains more: “Join an elite group of civilian agents in this action-packed RPG shooter, as Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 kicks off its Year 7 Season 1!
“Engage in intense tactical combat, team-up with your friends, and survive in a dynamic open world to save Washington D.C. from hostile factions.”
The following day sees the release of a game called To a T, which is a day one release from the creator of Katamari Damacy.
Elsewhere, Spray Paint Simulator comes to Xbox Game Pass on May 29, followed by Crypt Custodian and Symphonia on June 3.
It’s also worth pointing out that Cassette Beasts, Firework, Humanity, Remnant 2 and Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer will leave the service on May 31.
