The seat style has become something of a staple in homes and gardens across the UK, loved for its cocoon shape that’s ideal for curling up in. Now, Wowcher has slashed 80% off a Hirix hanging egg chair, from £499 to £99.
This chair has a padded seating area that has removable and washable covers, a robust frame that can support up to 200kg (31 stone), a teardrop silhouette, and a chain linking it all together. Many people in the reviews commented on how well made the chair is. One user wrote: “So happy with my purchase! I’ve always wanted an egg chair and this one is great. Really good quality, sturdy design and so comfortable. One of the best things I’ve ever bought!”

The chair is generously proportioned at 202cm high, 129cm wide, and 68cm deep. However, some people on the shorter side felt it was a bit too high for them. One vertically challenged shopper wrote, “It is a nice chair for the money as it’s quite cheap, but it’s quite high—too high really for me, I’m under 5ft.” And someone else wrote, “Brilliant chair (although a bit tall for me), very comfortable and high quality.”
