MILAN — The Slovaks came to Milan to play.
Putting themselves in pull position to top the Group B bracket with a goal in the last 30 seconds Saturday afternoon, Slovakia was able to celebrate a 5-3 loss to Sweden that may have punctuated its strong start to the Olympic tournament.

Sweden pulled its goalie after Dalibor Dvorsky scored a power-play goal to cut the Slovakian’s goal-differential deficit to two.
Knowing it had to win by three to win Group B, Team Sweden potentially put itself in a tough spot moving forward.
Slovakia and Swedenen are both 2-1. If Finland beats Italy in regulation, Slovakia will claim Group B on the tiebreaker.
