For those of us who have watched with growing alarm as Miliband’s zealous pursuit of green fantasies has jeopardised the British economy, this may seem like a victory, but beware – it’s likely a calculated deception.
According to reports, Starmer, finally realising the electoral poison that Net Zero represents, is preparing to sacrifice his overzealous green zealot at the altar of political survival. The Prime Minister reportedly wants to end the appearance of focusing solely on Net Zero and instead pretend to commit his government to growing the economy. With the next election poised to be a referendum on the economically ruinous Net Zero agenda, Starmer’s move smacks of pure political opportunism.
Miliband’s tenure as Energy Secretary has been a masterclass in ideological extremism masquerading as policy.
The Labour government has banned issuing new oil and gas licenses in the North Sea and is pushing for domestic boilers to be replaced by expensive heat pumps. Critics rightly point out that Miliband’s determination to slash the UK’s carbon emissions is directly responsible for soaring energy bills, pushing families into fuel poverty.
These policies aren’t just misguided; they’re actively harmful. Labour has now backed expansion of both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, seen as a humiliating defeat for Miliband, who also reportedly objected to the decision to cut aid spending and boost the defence budget by £6bn in real terms.
The truth is that Miliband’s policies have consistently prioritised virtue signaling to the global elite over the well-being of the British people.
As a source told the Express: “The Net Zero agenda has been subsumed by the need to boost the floundering economy and the new world order in Washington.” I would consider Trump’s election has been a tipping of the scales towards common sense.

From broken promises on taxation to U-turns on key social issues, their word is worthless. They simply cannot be trusted. Reform led by Nigel Farage, on the other hand, has a track record of delivering on its promises. They say what they mean, and they mean what they say.
The challenge for those of us who champion a rational and affordable energy policy is to expose Labour’s green agenda for what it is: a blueprint for economic ruin and social disintegration. We must highlight the devastating impact that Net Zero policies are already having on British families and businesses, from exorbitant energy bills to the loss of jobs in vital industries.
We must show that there is a better way forward, a path that prioritises energy security, economic prosperity, and genuine technological innovation. This means harnessing our domestic energy resources, including oil, gas, and nuclear power, not engaging in virtue-signaling exercises.
